Daytona Beach

Visit a city that caters to every taste, offering diverse dining experiences, beautiful coastal views, entertainment for all ages, and a vibrant nightlife!

Arcades
  • Daytona Arcade Museum: A critical hit for retro fans. This is a playable museum featuring over 100 vintage pinball and arcade cabinets set to “Free Play.” It’s a dedicated space to grind out high scores on the classics without needing a pocketful of quarters.

  • Daytona Lagoon Mega Arcade: Located right next to the Ocean Center, this is a modern gaming hub with high-tech simulators and redemption games. Good for a quick co-op session or competitive rounds of laser tag.

  • Arcade 51: A local barcade that mixes craft drinks with classic cabinets and consoles, perfect for the 21+ crowd looking to unwind after the con.

Escape Rooms

Lore, Legends & Science

  • Museum of Arts & Sciences (MOAS): Home to the Giant Ground Sloth skeleton, one of the most complete specimens in North America. It’s a pre-historic “boss fight” frozen in time. The museum also features a planetarium for sci-fi lovers and a visible storage area filled with weaponry and artifacts.

  • Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse: Climb the 203 steps of Florida’s tallest lighthouse. Beyond the cardio challenge, it has a reputation for being haunted. The keeper’s quarters are a favorite spot for local ghost stories, perfect for fans of the supernatural and gothic aesthetics.

The “Dark History” Day Trip (1 Hour North)

  • St. Augustine: If your party has a vehicle, the “Oldest City” is a goldmine. Visit the Medieval Torture Museum (an interactive, dark history experience), the St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum (authentic pirate artifacts/props), or take a Ghost Tour through the city’s graveyards and forts.

Real-Life Simulation

  • Daytona International Speedway: Even if you aren’t a racing fan, the engineering and scale appeal to those who love mech and tech. It is the ultimate “racing sim” come to life. Tours take you into the media center and garages where the real mechanics happen.

Loot Drops & Oddities

  • Starrdust Antiques & Oddities: Located a short drive away, this isn’t your grandma’s antique shop. It’s known for vintage toys, taxidermy, strange medical instruments, and other curiosities that fit the “oddities” aesthetic perfectly.

  • Beach Street Shopping: A historic riverfront district featuring unique “loot” locations like Tic Toc Enterprises (vintage clocks and watches) and Nicole’s Beach Street Mall, a massive sprawling vintage market where you can hunt for rare collectibles, retro decor, and prop inspiration.

  • Comic & Pop Culture Shops: The area hosts several spots for manga, TCGs, and comics, essential for restocking your inventory or finding that rare issue.
